The organizers brought together students from the social work programs of City University of Macau and the University of Saint Joseph, members of the Macau University of Science and Technology Social Service Team, and Sands Cares Ambassadors to visit the Guangdong‑Macau In‑Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.

The program included on‑site visits to several representative projects within the In‑Depth Cooperation Zone and exchanges with local social work professionals, helping students understand the practical outcomes of Macau-Hengqin integrated development, as well as opportunities in Hengqin and its important role and positioning as a platform for promoting Macau’s appropriately diversified economic development.

The itinerary’s first stop was the Planning Exhibition Hall of the Guangdong‑Macau In‑Depth Cooperation Zone, where students deepened their knowledge of the zone’s development positioning, construction achievements and future plans. Sands China arranged a special networking luncheon that day, inviting social work professionals from the In‑Depth Cooperation Zone to share practical experience and industry development trends with the participating students.

Subsequently, the group also visited the Macau New Neighbourhood Seniors’ Service Centre.
