Sands China marks National Security Education Day with executive visit to 2025 exhibition

In recognition of the 10th National Security Education Day on 15 April, Sands China led a delegation of nearly 50 management-level staff, including senior executives, to visit the 2025 National Security Education Exhibition at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex in Macau.

The delegation was headed by Dr Wilfred Wong, Executive Vice Chairman of Sands China Ltd; Grant Chum, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Sands China Ltd; and Dave Sun, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sands China Ltd and Managing Director of Venetian Macau Limited.

The initiative is part of Sands China’s long-standing professionalism education series and marks the seventh consecutive year Sands China has organized visits to the exhibition since the company’s inception in 2018.

This year’s exhibition, themed “Ten Years of Deepening and Implementing National Security Education for All”, showcases the nation’s achievements in national security and the Macau government’s efforts in promoting education on the subject. The exhibition is co-organized by the Macao SAR Government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR.

Dr Wong highlighted that national security is a cornerstone of the country’s development and essential for businesses and employees to navigate today’s evolving environment. He noted that Sands China’s continued participation reflects its commitment to deepening understanding of national security and supporting Macau’s integration into national development.

Guided by a docent, participants toured the exhibition’s prologue and six thematic sections, which explored the country’s development progress, national security advancements and Macau’s role in promoting the “One Country, Two Systems” principle.

The visit is one of over 80 professionalism activities conducted by Sands China to date, reaching more than 10,000 participants.
