Sands China recently held its “11th Responsible Gaming Ambassador Advanced Training Programme,” providing systematic professional training to 42 Responsible Gaming Ambassadors from various departments and deepening their understanding of gambling disorder.

The advanced training program incorporates diverse teaching methods, including short presentations, scenario-based short videos, interactive games, role-playing exercises and assessments. These approaches strengthen participants’ awareness of responsible gaming concepts and gambling disorder, and equip them with skills to guide and assist guests in utilizing various support resources.

This year, 42 Responsible Gaming Ambassadors participated in the training program, which was led by Professor Alan Feldman – Chair of the Nevada Advisory Committee on Problem Gambling, Chair Emeritus of the International Center for Responsible Gaming and Director of Strategic Initiatives at the International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Upon completing the program, all ambassadors received certificates issued by the International Gaming Institute at UNLV.

All of Sands China’s more than 28,000 team members complete responsible gaming training upon onboarding. Since the launch of the “Responsible Gaming Ambassador Advanced Training Programme” in 2013, the initiative has built on introductory training and further strengthened employees’ awareness of responsible gaming, while deepening their understanding of problem gambling.
