Sands China has successfully brought NBA events back to Macao, further cementing the city’s status as an international sports entertainment destination by integrating premier competitions with entertainment performances and community activities. The event drew numerous global and local basketball fans to The Venetian Arena to experience an NBA event uniquely tailored for Macao. Alongside the games, the “NBA Cares x Sands Cares Community Impact Week” wrapped up a fun and meaningful week of community outreach events, fully demonstrating the powerful impact that sports-driven philanthropy can have on our community.
The NBA China Games 2025 took place at The Venetian Arena on 10 and 12 October, featuring two thrilling encounters between the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns. The teams traded victories with scores of 132-127 and 111-109 respectively.
The debut of the NBA House in Macao, which ran from 8 to 12 October, injected additional vibrancy into the event. The five-day interactive experience blended basketball, music and technology, with NBA Legends Shaquille O’Neal, Deron Williams and Shawn Marion engaging with fans.

Additionally, the NBA Fan Day took place on 11 October, with players from the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns interacting with fans. MIRROR members Keung To, Edan Lui and Stanley Yau, alongside hip-hop artist MC Jin, delivered spectacular performances. On the same day, Macao’s first NBA Flagship Store opened at The Londoner Macao, spanning over 900 square meters. It features exclusive NBA products inspired by Macao’s cityscape and cultural motifs, and is the only NBA store in the Greater Bay Area with a customisation service allowing for the personalisation of NBA jerseys, apparel and sneakers.
The series of events concluded with a fireside chat, where Las Vegas Sands Corp. President and Chief Operating Officer Patrick Dumont, Sands Global Ambassador David Beckham and Alibaba Group Co-founder and Chairman Joe Tsai discussed the development of sports and community.
