- Twelve students successfully graduated from the Stage Technology and Event Production Course offered by Sands China.
- The course aims to cultivate talent in stage and event production, propelling Macau toward becoming a “City of Performing Arts”.
The first cohort of 12 students graduated from Sands China’s Stage Technology and Event Production Course this July, while 26 students in Forms 4 and 5 are currently enrolled across two more cohorts, demonstrating the course’s popularity among local youth.

The “Stage Technology and Event Production Course” is jointly organized by Sands China and Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional, with support from the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM). The course aims to cultivate talent in stage and event production, propel Macau toward becoming a “City of Performing Arts” and align with the SAR government’s “1+4” strategy for moderate economic diversification.
The program balances academic theory with practical experience. Beyond classroom instruction, students participate in visits to the performing arts venues of Sands China, stage production workshops, and enjoy a nine-month internship with Sands China, gaining hands-on exposure to stage production and entertainment coordination.

Some graduates from the first cohort have already joined Sands China as full-time staff or trainees, while others are set to further their studies in subjects such as media arts and design – both domestically and internationally.
One of the new graduates, Hou Che, is now working in Sands China’s entertainment department. He said, “I have been equipped with professional knowledge in entertainment through this course … I would like to make the most of what I have learnt from the entertainment department as I look forward to exploring new opportunities in this field.”
Paulo Cheong, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Sands China, explained, “Talent is a cornerstone of Macau’s transformation as a City of Performing Arts.

“With our top-tier performance equipment and professional team, we consider it a significant responsibility and privilege for Sands China to utilize our resources to give hand-on experiences to the next generation who are interested in performing arts.”
Rooted in Macao for over 20 years, Sands China is the city’s first and largest integrated tourism and leisure enterprise and sees the nurturing of local talent as an essential aspect of its corporate social responsibility.
