The 2026 Sands China Charity Donation and the opening ceremony of the “Love & Inclusivity for All Ages” Activity Series were held in October, with Sands China donating MOP 240,000 to the Peng On Tung Charity Foundation at the event.

This was Sands China’s 17th consecutive annual donation to Peng On Tung, with the funds supporting the Peng On Tung Tele-Assistance program and related elderly care services, assisting seniors in obtaining adequate support. To date, the program has benefitted nearly 29,000 seniors.
The event brought together 200 seniors and young volunteers for interactive activities, fostering respect and care for the elderly and promoting a community spirit of intergenerational harmony, mutual support and friendship.

Sands China’s donation will help subsidize 850 financially disadvantaged seniors in utilizing the Peng On Tung Tele-Assistance service and support the Charity Foundation’s extended care programs for the elderly, such as home repair services under the Peng On Tung Maintenance Programme and haircut services under the Elderly Haircut Initiative. The donation check was presented at the ceremony to Chan Ka Leong, Director-general of UGAMM (General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau), by Catherine Kong, Sands China’s Vice President of Corporate Communications and Community Affairs.

On the same day, students from Escola dos Miradors de Macau, Pui Va Middle School and Hou Kong Middle School made 200 aromatic mugwort sachets with seniors, assisted by Sands Cares Ambassadors. Working together gave participants an opportunity to connect, show care to each other and deepen mutual understanding, reflecting the spirit of intergenerational harmony. Seniors also received free haircuts from Elderly Haircut Initiative trainees at the event, which enlivened the warm atmosphere.
