Sands China hosted the Sands China Distinguished Speaker Forum Series – The Spirit of NPC and CPPCC on 26 March at The Londoner Macao, inviting five Macao delegates of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conferenceto share their insights on the key topics of the Two Sessions from multiple perspectives.

The distinguished speakers were: Kou Hoi In, member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress and vice president of the Macao Chamber of Commerce; Ho Ion Sang, member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and vice president of the Legislative Assembly of Macao; Ng Sio Lai, Macao deputy to the 14th National People’s Congress and president of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau; Lee Chong Cheng, Macao member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and vice president of the Macao Federation of Trade Unions; and Wong Kit Cheng, Macao member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and vice president of the Women’s General Association of Macau. Other guests of honour at the event included Sun Yaohua, director of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, and Ken Cheang Kam Lei, head of the Gaming Research Department and liaison of the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

Executive Vice Chairman of Sands China Ltd, Dr Wilfred Wong, moderated the event.

“Sands China was privileged to invite five Macau delegates of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference for a sharing session, where they offered valuable insights on matters related to Macau’s long-term economic and social development discussed at this year’s sessions,” Dr Wong said.
The event drew around 200 members of management, team members and participants of the company’s talent development programs, with a live stream and replay made available to more than 28,000 team members in back-of-house areas, supporting broader learning and understanding of the spirit of the Two Sessions and contributing to Macau’s high-quality development.
