Old World wine culture was on display at MGM COTAI on 29 May as MGM hosted “Vino Condiviso 2026 Macau, Viva Italia” at Vista, supported by Vino Condiviso, the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong and the Italian Trade Agency.

The event brought together Italian wine producers, institutional partners, wine professionals and afficionados.

“Vino Condiviso” was one of the signature highlights of MGM’s curated May wine experiences. In Italian, the phrase means “shared wine” – a feeling partaken by over 250 guests who explored over 100 Italian wine labels, presented by Italian producers and wine specialists on site who shared their expertise and the background of each vintage while showcasing the diversity and artistry of Italian winemaking.

Guests explored historic traditions and contemporary innovations from northern to southern Italy, including famed regions such as Piemonte, Veneto, Tuscany and Sicily. Single-varietal wines were also highlighted, demonstrating the ongoing evolution of Italy’s wine culture into modern interpretations.

Accompanying the array of wines was a curated gastronomic showcase featuring canapés from Five Foot Road, MGM’s One-Michelin-Starred Sichuan restaurant, Grill 58, the premium restaurant embracing fire-kissed flavor, alongside other hearty Italian dishes. The pairing exemplified MGM’s expertise in connecting global wine culture with distinctive dining concepts for a cross-cultural experience that reflects the company’s culinary diversity, premium hospitality and expertise in crafting lifestyle experiences for guests.
