SJM enhances support for the “Leisure Bus Community Exploration Programme”

  • Phase two initiatives continue driving visitor footfall into local communities.
  • SJM has launched additional services departing from Grand Lisboa Macau to reach a wider visitor base.

SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) continues to actively support the Macao SAR Government’s “Leisure Bus Community Exploration Programme,” working together to advance the integrated development of “community + tourism.”

To further stimulate the community economy, SJM is supporting the Government’s latest enhancement measures through the second phase of the programme, which will be implemented from 17 July 2026 to 3 January 2027.  Additional services departing from Grand Lisboa Macau have been introduced to reach a wider visitor base. SJM currently operates five “Leisure Bus” routes, with a total of 10 weekend departures.

To meet increasing demand during peak seasons, special Friday services will be added during the summer holidays and additional special services will also be operated during the National Day, Christmas, and New Year holiday periods.

As an integral part of SJM’s San Ma Lo District Revitalization Plan, Kam Pek Market is set to welcome a series of exciting new developments in the coming months. Starting from July, a succession of new food and beverage brands will be introduced, bringing continued vibrancy and fresh appeal to the community.

Among them, the renowned British lifestyle dining brand EL&N will open at Kam Pek Market in August. the successful opening of its first Greater China outlet at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau, EL&N will now debut in the community area of Macau, bringing residents and visitors a distinctive experience that blends gastronomy, lifestyle, and wellness.

Building on these efforts, SJM aims to further strengthen Kam Pek Market’s positioning as a distinctive culinary and cultural landmark in Macau, while supporting the continued development of community tourism across the city.
