- Four-day “Sands Shopping Carnival” created opportunities for various stakeholders in Macau to engage and collaborate.
- The event reflected the company’s commitment to local businesses and the Sands Cares spirit of promoting inclusion in the community.
The 7th “Sands Shopping Carnival” recently concluded successfully, bringing together 20 social service organizations and over 100 community volunteers, including “Sands Cares Ambassadors.” The four-day fair created new opportunities for various stakeholders in Macau to collaborate, expand marketing channels and connect with the community.

This year’s carnival was held from 23 to 26 July at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo, featuring over 580 unique booths. This edition notably saw the participation of 20 Macao social service organizations – the largest number to date.
The carnival provided a valuable platform for trainees from social service organizations, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN), to showcase and sell their handmade cultural and creative products, food, and handicrafts – demonstrating their talents and skills to the wider community.

To make the event more inclusive and joyful for local families, Sands China invited nearly 90 family members from the Macau IN Volunteer Group and the Good Shepherd Centre to participate in a special carnival experience on the opening day (23 July). Nearly 50 Sands Cares Ambassadors accompanied the families throughout the event, joining them in fun and engaging parent-child activities at the carnival.
Additionally, Sands China continued its collaboration with the Macau Special Olympics this year by co-organizing the “Special Olympics Junior Reporter Programme.” This initiative provided students with special educational needs the opportunity to be junior reporters, covering the carnival’s opening ceremony and conducting on-site interviews with exhibitors, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in journalism.
