One of Macau’s most iconic annual beer festivals, Oktoberfest Macau at MGM 2026, officially opened on 28 October.
The 1/F Roof Terrace of MGM COTAI has become a lively Bavarian-inspired venue where local residents and visitors can gather beneath a giant beer tent to enjoy a selection of authentic German beer, traditional cuisine and live entertainment.

Over the years, Oktoberfest Macau at MGM has welcomed more than 200,000 attendees. This year’s event has once again received strong support from the Macao Government Tourism Office, the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong and the German Macau Business Association.
Live music has taken center stage at this year’s Oktoberfest. For the first time, MGM has welcomed German band SAKRISCH GUAT to Macau. With more than 15 years of touring experience, the band brings an energetic mix of traditional Bavarian music, international pop hits and Chinese-language classics, inviting guests to sing and dance along.

Adding to the festivities, this year’s Oktoberfest also introduced “Cantopop DJ Nights,” with two exclusive performances by popular Cantopop DJ collective Cantomania on 30 and 31 October. These special evenings brought together German traditions and Cantonese pop culture through music. Both nights also featured a “Best Halloween Costume Contest,” inviting guests to dress up and join in the Halloween festivities.
Beyond the entertainment, guests are able to enjoy Paulaner beer and a selection of authentic German favorites, including roasted pork knuckle, roast chicken and pretzels. Non-alcoholic beer and specialty beverages are available, along with carnival games and family-friendly activities for guests of all ages.

The opening ceremony of Oktoberfest was attended by several guests including Zhao Su, a representative of the Economic and Financial Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR; Oliver Bräuner, Deputy Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong; and Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office.
