Our society category is broad, referring to initiatives supporting various cultural, educational, religious, scientific, sporting and other activities promoting the greater good of the Macau, Greater Bay Area and wider China societies. Such initiatives create social improvement through upgrading economic well-being, promoting health and fitness, sharing knowledge and information and various other positive strategies. Recent examples have included helping Macau citizens learn about mainland China government policy, encouraging scientific research or study, creating mentorship programs as well as hosting festivals, exhibitions and sporting events.

Orbis Flying Eye Hospital returns to Macau to hold training program and month-long exhibition
After a decade, the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital has finally returned to Macau, launching the city’s first simulation-based professional eye care training program. Alongside the initiative, Orbis is also hosting the month-long “Goodwill Tour” exhibition and charity sale.

GEG launches “Family Cares Summer Program” at Galaxy Macau
Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) continued to promote a family-friendly workplace through a wide range of initiatives. This summer, GEG launched the “GEG Family Cares Summer Program,” which invited team members and their children to Galaxy Macau integrated resort. The program drew about 300 participants.

The 22nd SJM Scholarship Award Ceremony opens new chapter in local talent development
SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) has been championing local talent development and supporting Macau’s youth for at least six decades. The company recently held the “22nd SJM Scholarship Award Ceremony” at the Grand Ballroom of Grand Lisboa Macau, presenting scholarships of MOP20,000 each to 36 outstanding children of employees, in recognition of their academic excellence.

The “2026 Sands Shopping Carnival” creates shared opportunities for the Macau community
The 7th “Sands Shopping Carnival” recently concluded successfully, bringing together 20 social service organizations and over 100 community volunteers, including “Sands Cares Ambassadors.” The four-day fair created new opportunities for various stakeholders in Macau to collaborate, expand marketing channels and connect with the community.

Sands China has once again partnered with the Macau Red Cross this year to promote the “Sands Cares Disaster Preparation & Emergency Response Kit Programme,” continuing their collaboration initiated in 2019.
