The Women’s General Association of Macau celebrates National Day

The Women’s General Association of Macau held an event to celebrate the 74th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China last Friday, 22 September. Ms Lau Kam Ling, the Chairwoman of the Association, said that the Women’s Association will further promote the high-quality career development of women in Macau and lead women to be great builders.

The Association has more than 55,000 members. Aiming at “caring for women and children, and serving the community”, it strives to promote the fine tradition of patriotism and love for Macau and unite and guide women to firmly implement the principle of “patriots governing Macau”.

Ms Lau Kim Ling said that the Women’s Association will continue to unite women to seize development opportunities and will further implement various important tasks. She said, “The Women’s General Association of Macau will firmly take the important instructions to Macau raised in the report to the 20th CPC National Congress as a program of action, further inherit the tradition of patriotism and love for Macau, attach more attention to the patriotism education of the younger generation, further assist Macau in integrating into the nation’s overall development plan, and unite and lead the majority of women to seize development opportunities.”

Lau also stated that the Women’s Association will fully support and cooperate with the SAR government in administering governance in accordance with the law and serve as a bridge between the government and the community, contributing to the construction of a “happy home”.
