Taipa Village Cultural Association will present “Tomorrow’s Heritage: Fashion Scarves by Clara Brito”, an exhibition showcasing the latest fashion items designed by Clara Brito and illustrating the charm of Chinese ceramic art through a distinctive collection of scarves.
Born in Portugal, Clara Brito moved to Macau in 2004. Together with Manuel Silva, she founded the creative agency Lines Lab that was dubbed a “must-see” creative agency by the New York Times.
Invited by the Taipa Village Cultural Association to host the exhibition, Clara will present a collection of unique fashion items that embody the art form’s aesthetic patterns and detailing. The exhibition will display fashion scarves of different sizes, together with several large-scale artistic installations featuring exquisite fabrics, to showcase the print aesthetics of these fashion items.
João Ó, President of Taipa Village Cultural Association, said, “The unique collection aims to blend the worlds of industry and art, exploring this eminent fashionista’s professional skills and passion for artistic expression.”
The “Tomorrow’s Heritage” series is co-designed by a community of creative thinkers, researchers, and designers in traditional crafts and textile industries, based in the Greater Bay Area and Portuguese speaking countries. “Fashion Scarves by Clara Brito” will be held from 15 November to 29 December at the Taipa Village Art Space, and admission is free.
