In mid-January, globally acclaimed Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay visited Macau. He stopped by The Londoner Macao’s Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill, his first restaurant venture in Macau. Ramsay’s first-ever restaurant visit in the city included a series of exciting events such as a culinary masterclass, a one-off lunch, and an inspiring conversation with young local chefs, providing local food enthusiasts and culinary professionals with an up-close experience with the renowned chef.
During his stay, Ramsay hosted an exclusive master cooking class at The Londoner Macao where he demonstrated and taught the attendees how to prepare the dessert “Knickerbocker Glory”, a signature dish found on the menu of his first restaurant and many that followed.
Ramsay admirers also had the opportunity to meet the chef the following day at a one-off lunch with reservations in high demand. The lunch featured an enticing three-course special menu, with dishes including beetroot cured salmon, beef wellington and sticky toffee pudding.
A highlight of Ramsay’s visit to Macau was the “Inspiring the Next Generation: A Conversation with Gordon Ramsay” event, where he interacted closely with students from the Culinary Arts Management degree programme at the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM). The sharing session focused on his professional journey to becoming a globally recognized chef, addressing a wide range of topics, from his cooking philosophy through to career defining moments. The highly acclaimed chef also gave insightful advice to the rising stars about how best to navigate the competitive landscape to success.
Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at The Londoner Macao offers a variety of authentic classic British dishes. The menu features Ramsay’s signature beef wellington and fish and chips, as well as a selection of charcoal-fired grilled steaks sourced from the finest farms. The pub offers a variety of draught and bottled beers from around the world, handcrafted cocktails and selected wines, creating an authentic British pub experience.
