• Sands Resorts Macao introduced a Hong Kong International Airport check-in and direct bus transfer service.
• The move has been recognized by industry experts as being significant in positioning Macau as a premier international MICE destination.

Sands China recently unveiled its new service offerings, providing Hong Kong International Airport check-in and direct bus transfer services as of 1 March. Guests staying at Sands China properties can now enjoy the convenience of checking in for their flights directly at Sands Resorts Macao, departing from The Venetian Macao straight to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) port, facilitating a seamless connection to Hong Kong International Airport.

According to Sands China, this initiative is heralded as the initial phase of the company’s broader plan to expand transportation services, aiming to conserve guests’ valuable time and elevate their travel experience. This endeavor aligns with the Macao Government Tourism Office’s (MGTO) objectives to increase international visitor numbers in 2024 and beyond.

Sands China said it stands as a pioneering integrated resort operator in offering such innovative services. Kris Kaminsky, Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations at Sands China, emphasized that this initiative not only reinforces Sands Resorts Macao’s pioneering status in the hospitality sector but also demonstrates support for the Macau SAR Government’s vision to establish and develop Macau as a world centre of tourism and leisure.

Stephanie Tanpure, Vice President of Sales at Sands China, underlined the critical importance of these new services in mitigating transportation challenges within the MICE industry.

“The introduction of airport check-in and direct bus transfers is a critical component of our response to calls to enhance the accessibility of Macau as a destination,” she said. “We are committed to ensuring that every guest’s journey with us is as easy and convenient as possible.”

Since 16 January 2023, following Macau’s reopening post-COVID-19, Sands China has reinstated its Express Line service. This service provides daily connections between Hong Kong and three premier Sands China properties: Sands Macao, The Venetian Macao and The Parisian Macao, with 10 round trips available each day.
