The Macau Fashion Design Industry Association (MFDIA) held the “MFDIA Fashion Parade 2024 – Light of Macao Designers” fashion show at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo where 18 member designers showcased a total of 75 original outfits, demonstrating the industry’s progress and the fruits of their efforts.
The theme of “Light of Macao Designers” revolved around the concept of “light”, with member designers creating a range of menswear, casual wear and evening wear. The collections were displayed under three thematic categories: SPARKLE (the light of sparkle), GLOW (the light of resilience) and BRILLIANCE (the light of glamour).
Through this exclusive show for its members, MFDIA aims to foster learning and exchange opportunities within Macau’s fashion design sector and to enhance the technical skills of designers.
The association expressed its hope that the event would further drive the development of Macau’s fashion industry and lay the groundwork for future initiatives to promote exchanges and elevate the visibility of Macau’s fashion capabilities.
MFDIA, which boasts over 70 members, includes fashion designers as well as professionals from the business and educational sectors. The association seeks to attract individuals from across the fashion industry chain to join its ranks, thereby enriching the sector’s overall growth.
