Sands China Hosts “Food Fest of Awarded SMEs” Promotional Event

  • Sands China held the “Food Fest of Awarded SMEs for Rua das Estalagens” for the second consecutive year.
  • Across the two editions, approximately 11,000 team members participated.

From 22 to 28 April, Sands China held the “Food Fest of Awarded SMEs for Rua das Estalagens” for the second consecutive year. The event invited awarded SMEs to the back-of-house area of The Londoner Macao to promote their signature delicacies, allowing merchants to reach members of a large corporate workforce directly, increase brand exposure and expand business opportunities.

The “Food Fest of Awarded SMEs for Rua das Estalagens” received an enthusiastic response. Across the two editions, approximately 11,000 team members participated, helping drive the development of local SMEs and continuing the company’s business philosophy of “large businesses leading small businesses.”

Participating merchants this year were Café Fantart, Voyage Thai Kitchen, PANPAN and Catfee Macau.

Dr Wilfred Wong, Executive Vice Chairman of Sands China Ltd, said, “Sands China remains fully committed to supporting the Macao SAR Government’s direction of promoting the community economy and the sustainable development of local SMEs. In the revitalization of Rua das Estalagens, we consistently monitor the progress of the businesses and provide various promotional and sales platforms for their participation. It has been two years since the launch of the ‘Entrepreneurship Recruitment Programme for Rua das Estalagens’ and we are pleased to see the participating businesses growing steadily and becoming increasingly mature. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the ‘large businesses leading small businesses’ approach and highlights the adaptability of Macau SMEs.”

Following the launch of the Community Revitalization Series – Entrepreneurship Recruitment Programme for Rua das Estalagens in April 2024, Sands has continued the program this year, offering subsidies and a series of practical support measures to select local SMEs for establishment and development in Rua das Estalagens.
