In late April, the culinary team of Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) traveled to Singapore as the only representative team from Macau to take part in Food & Hospitality Asia 2026 (FHA). The team delivered an impressive performance at the FHA Dessert Challenge, a flagship competition certified by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (Worldchefs), highlighting the professionalism and creativity of Macau’s culinary talent.
According to the organizer, the FHA Dessert Challenge is one of the annual highlight events of FHA Singapore. Officially certified by Worldchefs and co-organized with the Singapore Pastry Alliance, the two-day competition brought together leading pastry chefs and rising culinary talent from across Asia. Participants were assessed on multiple criteria, including theme interpretation, flavor execution and overall finish, making for a highly competitive field.

As Macau’s sole representative, the GEG culinary team achieved a strong result in the “Team Challenge: Elevated Afternoon Tea Set.” Lam In San, Sous Chef of Galaxy Macau, and Huang Zesheng, Chef de Partie of Galaxy Macau, were awarded a Gold Medal for their refined techniques, thoughtful flavor design and elegant presentation.

Huang also stood out in the “Individual Challenge: Plated Desserts,” securing another gold medal and bringing further recognition to Macau on the international stage.
The FHA Dessert Challenge is part of Asia’s major culinary competition platform and is recognized as a Worldchefs-certified international event.
