ACBCM hoping to leverage APEC to expand cooperation with Shenzhen

  • ACBCM visited Shenzhen for an exchange and study tour and hosted the spirit of the National Two Sessions to explore further cooperation with Macau. 
  • During the event, ACBCM and the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau and Commerce signed friendly cooperation agreements with the Futian District Chamber of Commerce.

The Associação dos Comerciantes da Boa Cozinha de Macau (ACBCM), in collaboration with the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau and the Macau Futian Youth Association, recently organized a delegation of over 80 business professionals from Macau to visit Shenzhen for an exchange and study tour to explore new directions for cooperation between the cities.

The visit included the “Lotus Blossoms in Futian: Forging a New Journey Together” Business Exchange Conference and a sharing session on the spirit of the National Two Sessions, attended by about 130 representatives from Macau. These included Kevin Ho King Lun, a Macau deputy to the National People’s Congress (NPC); Grace Wong Kit Cheng, a Macau member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC); and Ho Tsz Kit, President of the ACBCM.

During the event, the ACBCM and the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau and Commerce signed friendly cooperation agreements with the Futian District Chamber of Commerce. At the sharing and exchange activity, Kevin Ho, Grace Wong and Nie Zhuqing – a member of the National Committee of the CPPCC – were invited as keynote speakers to share policy insights and personal experiences from the National Two Sessions.

Ho Tsz Kit expressed Shenzhen is hosting major APEC-related events this year, providing a rare and precious opportunity for Shenzhen, Macau and the Macau business sector. The official says he hopes to leverage APEC as a platform to give full play to Macau’s advantage as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.”
