Responsible gaming can be defined as preventative measures to minimize the harmful effects associated with gambling, ensuring the well-being of both residents and visitors. By providing resources for education, counseling and support services, Macau aims to create a safe and sustainable gaming environment. Initiatives such as self-exclusion programs, age verification protocols and responsible gaming campaigns are integral to promoting healthy gambling habits and minimizing the negative impacts of excessive gaming. Prioritizing responsible gaming practices helps to uphold ethical standards and safeguard the integrity of Macau’s gaming industry.
