The Vice Chairman and CEO of Macau CSR’s parent company O MEDIA, Andrew W Scott, presented two seminars on Friday 25 August at the Macau Polytechnic University (MPU) on the development of the tourism and leisure industry across Asia.
The seminars were part of MPU’s series of “Gaming and Recreation Management Seminars.” According to the MPU, the objective of these seminars is “to enhance students’ understanding of the related theories and management issues in order to develop practical skills at work.
“Each seminar will be conducted by a local or overseas scholar or expert,” the MPU explains. “Themes of seminars may include research or management issues related to the gaming and recreation industry.
“They are intended to broaden students’ perspective of the industry, strengthen perception of related issues and encourage reflection on the relevance of the seminar themes, industry development and management practice.”
As a credit-bearing year-4 course, students are required to write a report that summarizes, discusses and reflects on the content featured in the seminar.
Scott said, “I’m delighted to teach these seminars each year at Macau’s universities, on behalf of O MEDIA. We see this as part of O MEDIA’s CSR efforts in helping Macau’s future leaders grow to their full potential.”
