Responsible gaming can be defined as preventative measures to minimize the harmful effects associated with gambling. To create and implement effective policies which provide players sufficient knowledge to make informed decisions is often easier said than done, but an important requirement for a healthy and sustainable gaming industry. Having a regulated environment is key to educating the population about problem gambling and promoting safer gambling in the community. As the Macau gaming market continues to mature, best practices in responsible gaming require more attention than ever before.
