- MGM rolls out “MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program”.
- The program strengthens team members’ awareness and execution of responsible gaming via diverse initiatives.
MGM has launched a new internal initiative – the “MGM Responsible Gaming Employee Care Program” – in support of the Macao SAR Government’s efforts to promote responsible gaming and ensure the healthy development of the city’s tourism and leisure industry.

The new program offers a comprehensive platform for employee engagement, education and advocacy through a range of activities, including roadshows, pop-up games, online quizzes and in-depth training on gambling-related issues. Designed to enhance awareness among staff, the initiative aims to foster a balanced and sustainable community.
The program is advised by the Macao SAR Government’s Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) and Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), along with academic input from the University of Macau and Macao Polytechnic University. It is co-organized by various community and labor groups including the Macao Federation of Trade Unions and the Macao New Chinese Youth Association.
The opening ceremony, held at MGM Cotai’s back-of-house area, was attended by key stakeholders from government departments, academia and civil society. Among the guests were representatives from the Central Government’s Liaison Office, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), and multiple youth and social service organizations.
Tian Han, Executive Vice President of Gaming Operations & Strategic Marketing at MGM, said the program complements the “MGM RG Community Engagement Scheme” launched last year. Together, the two initiatives form a dual-track strategy targeting both employees and the wider community.
He further added that MGM will continue to work closely with different sectors to deepen understanding of responsible gaming and contribute to a healthier, more harmonious society.
