- Melco recently hosted an SME minibar product showcase.
- The event aimed to enable local business owners to showcase and directly sell products to colleagues through dedicated booths.
Melco Resorts & Entertainment reaffirmed its commitment to the “Large Businesses Leading Small Businesses” initiative by hosting a dedicated “Food Products by Local SMEs – Minibar Products” event at Studio City’s heart of house area earlier in June. As one of Macau’s largest integrated resort operators, Melco continues to foster the development of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing them with valuable business opportunities and stable, long-term demand for their products.
The event was made possible thanks to the strong support and assistance of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), which played a key role in connecting Melco with the participating SMEs. The event enabled 12 local SMEs to showcase and sell their minibar products directly to Melco employees via dedicated booths, allowing business owners to introduce their offerings and engage in direct dialogue with colleagues. This setup also provided Melco’s supply chain department and relevant business units with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of the range and quality of local products available, facilitating the identification of potential suppliers for future collaboration.
Ms Sanna Leong, Manager of the Trade and Business Development Division at the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, also attended the event in person to lend her support, noting the initiative’s role in strengthening the local supply chain and supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Melco expressed its gratitude to IPIM for their continued partnership and efforts in fostering collaboration between large corporations and local businesses. Through such initiatives, the company says it aims to strengthen Macau’s business ecosystem and drive sustainable growth for the community, underlining its commitment to supporting local enterprises and the city’s economic diversification.
