  • Melco’s Lawrence Ho said he hopes the initiative will continue “evolving Macau’s art ecosystem and inspire ongoing dialogue between local and global creative voices”.

City of Dreams Macau has unveiled “The Haas Brothers: Clair de Lune”, an immersive art exhibition by internationally acclaimed artists Simon and Nikolai Haas. Presented as a special exhibition for “Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2025”, Clair de Lune employs flowing light as a metaphor, weaving a narrative rich in emotion and imagination and showcasing the duo’s distinctive anthropomorphic artistry.

The launch was attended by senior government and cultural officials, including representatives from the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macao Government Tourism Office, as well as Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s senior executives. Figures from the art, design and media sectors also gathered, celebrating a fantastical showcase shaped by memory and sensation.

Lawrence Ho, Chairman and CEO of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, emphasized Melco’s commitment to creating world-class resort experiences through sustained investment in art and culture. He noted that presenting “The Haas Brothers: Clair de Lune” as part of Art Macao 2025 reflects the company’s support for cultural exchange and artistic innovation, expressing hope that these efforts will continue “evolving Macau’s art ecosystem and inspire ongoing dialogue between local and global creative voices”.

The Haas Brothers, renowned for their multidisciplinary approach spanning fashion, design and sculpture, drew inspiration from childhood memories of the Moon Towers in Austin, Texas, as well as from Claude Debussy’s iconic “Clair de Lune.” The exhibition showcases six works: five lamp sculptures echoing the Moon Towers and a whimsical, monkey-like figure. Together, these pieces unfold into a moonlit dreamscape that invites visitors to wander alongside this fantastical creature – touching the gentle energy where light and shadow meet and experiencing an ever-evolving emotional connection with the world around them.

The exhibition runs through 12 September 2025.
