To foster professional exchange among Macau’s film and television practitioners and elevate the local industry’s standards, Wynn Macau hosted the “Macao-Exclusive Stellar Screening of The Shadow’s Edge” at the Wynn Palace Grand Theater on 24 August.
The screening drew approximately 300 attendees, including members of the Filmmakers Committee of the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau, local film and television industries professionals, youth representatives and community organization delegates. Together, they enjoyed the production highlights of this year’s action blockbuster.
“The Shadow’s Edge” is a mainland Chinese action crime film starring Jackie Chan and Zhang Zifeng, with a surprise appearance by Tony Leung Ka-fai and featuring an ensemble cast of prominent stars.
The film was extensively shot at Wynn Resorts Macau and has achieved both box office success and critical acclaim since its release, hailed as Jackie Chan’s finest action film in the past decade.
To give back to Macau’s film community, Wynn invited the film’s principal creative team – including Jackie Chan, Tony Leung Ka-fai, Wen Junhui, Zhou Zhengjie, screenwriter and director Larry Yang, cinematographer Qian Tiantian, action director Su Hang and supervising editor Zhang Yibo – to attend the event.

They shared filming experiences and behind-the-scenes anecdotes with the audience while also demonstrating the film’s daring action sequences live. The Filmmakers Committee of the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau organized several local film industry representatives to participate in the screening and exchange.
Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, said, “The filming of this high-level movie in Macau can not only raise Macau’s international visibility and influence in the movie and television industry but can also facilitate its development as a ‘City of Performing Arts’. It will also broaden the horizons and inspire local youths and propel talent cultivation and exchange, providing more opportunities for the growth of industry talent.”
