Melco Resorts & Entertainment and the Macau Motosurf Association are co-organizing the 2025 UIM Macao Grand Prix MotoSurf World Championship Finale, which is sanctioned by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM). The event will take place at Hac Sa Beach from 21 to 23 November.
This year’s race marks the fifth and final stop of the UIM MotoSurf World Championship global tour. The Macau finale will expand into a coastal cultural festival, including food booths, interactive beach activities, children’s creative workshops and sponsor activations under the newly launched “Coastal Market” concept.
Clarence Chung, Board Director of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “We are proud to bring the Motosurf World Championship Finale back to Macau with even more momentum and creativity this year and we look forward to welcoming the world’s best MotoSurf athletes, fans and families to the shores of Hac Sa.
“Melco strives to bring a diverse range of sports activities to Macau, allowing residents and tourists to experience a wider range of sports, thereby deepening the cross-sector integration of ‘tourism + sports’ and enriching the tourism experience. We will continue to support and collaborate with the SAR Government to promote economic diversification, showcasing the city’s diverse charm and attracting more tourists to Macau.”
Last year, the women’s class champion of the 2024 Macau race became the first official qualifier for the 2025 Chengdu World Games.
This year, the Macau Motosurf Association has deepened its strategic collaboration with Qingdao Sailing Sport School, under the General Administration of Sport of China. Standout athletes can be recommended for the national team.
Their co-trained athlete, Zhang Maozhu, won silver at the recent World Games in Chengdu.
