The “Macau Space Dream Project,” jointly organized by MGM, the Association for Promotion of Science and Technology of Macau (MAPST) and the Chinese Society of Astronautics (CSA), held its award ceremony and graduation celebration on 17 October. Over 250 teachers, students and representatives from the science and technology community attended to witness the participants’ achievements.

The six-month “Macau Space Dream Project,” part of the MGM Youth Popular Science Series, debuted last year. Since its launch, it has gained widespread popularity as Macau’s first science education program focused on space science and payload technology, structured around the pillars of “Learning, Practice and Research”.
At the graduation ceremony, Kenneth Feng, President and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said that as the program successfully concludes its second year, MGM will continue to promote innovative and diverse science education initiatives.

“Space exploration represents a vital frontier in the nation’s scientific and technological development,” he said. “Through the ‘Macau Space Dream Project’, MGM is committed to nurturing Macau’s future talent in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, inspiring young people to explore the universe with curiosity and passion.”
The program encompasses two major components: the “Macau Youth Creative Design Competition of Space Experiment” targeting students in Forms 2 to 5, and the “Call from Deep Space” Experiential Camp for Primary 5 and 6 students.

Winning teams from the secondary school category will travel to Wenchang, Hainan, for a space-themed research center tour, where they will have the opportunity to observe a national water rocket launch. They will also represent Macau at the finals of the “2025 International Space Science and Payload Competition” in Hong Kong this November.
Outstanding participants from the primary school category already joined a research tour to Zhuhai in late September, visiting Zhuhai Aerospace Land – the largest space science education hub in China.
