- The Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry Macau delegation paid an official visit to Changsha, the capital of China’s Hunan province.
- The formal opening of the CCILC delegation in Changsha is scheduled for 2026.
The Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC) Macau delegation, led by President Carlos Cid Alvares, paid an official visit to Changsha, the capital of China’s Hunan province, to deepen economic links and advance cooperation plans ahead of the formal opening of the CCILC Delegation in Changsha, scheduled for 2026.

During the trip, the delegation met with the local CCILC team already operating in Changsha and held discussions with key institutions and business leaders.
A major highlight was a symposium with the Changsha Federation of Industry and Commerce, where both sides signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement sets a framework for collaboration in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, green energy, agro-industry and technology, supporting investment facilitation, joint ventures and knowledge exchange between enterprises in Portugal, Macau and Hunan.

The program also included meetings with leading companies such as Sansure Biotech Inc and Zoomlion, as well as exchanges with representatives from the CPPCC and local government bodies.

An institutional dinner attended by Changsha Vice Mayor Kang Zhenlin further strengthened official ties and an invitation was extended for a regional business delegation to take part in the Portugal-China Gala 2026.
CCILC said the visit reflects Macau’s role as a bridge between China and Portuguese-speaking countries and aims to turn dialogue into practical outcomes for companies on both sides.
