Sands China Ltd has been awarded “Top Employer” certification by the Top Employer Institute – an internationally recognized authority on human resources strategy – for the second consecutive year, joining approximately 2,500 certified organizations worldwide.

After last year becoming the first integrated resort operator in the Asia-Pacific region and the first company in Macau’s tourism services sector to receive the accolade, Sands China has successfully retained the title this year – demonstrating that its human resources strategy meets high international standards.

Across this year’s assessment of more than 200 criteria – covering leadership management, talent acquisition, workplace environment, rewards and recognition – the company’s overall performance exceeded the global average.

In addition, Sands China’s initiative to create new positions specifically for people with disabilities was included in the institute’s white paper as a best-practice case, highlighting the company’s sustained investment in promoting diversity and inclusion.

Last year, the company introduced a new “stay away from overnight shift” hotel front office position to encourage more local youth to join the tourism and hospitality industry.
