Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has supported the “Respect and Love the Elderly and Celebration of Elders Day” organized by  the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau and co-organized by the Macau Holy House of Mercy for 12 consecutive years, with the aim of bringing warmth and care to the elderly.

In this year’s event, GEG joined hands with the Macau Orchestra for the first time to organize the “2025 Respect and Love the Elderly and Celebration of Elders Day: Endless Joy Music Performance for Seniors”, which aims to use music as a medium to bring the elderly closer to arts and culture.

During the event, members of the orchestra and volunteers from GEG jointly presented wonderful performances and arranged interactive sessions, inviting them to operate musical instruments, participate in body movements and sing in chorus, so as to let the elderly experience the charm of music in a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere.

GEG also invited Tea Master Team of Galaxy Macau, including Crystal Lu, champion of the “11th National Competition for Tea Sommelier Annual Finals”, along with Cantonese opera performer Aaron Un, to present a performance combining the art of tea and the craftsmanship of Cantonese Opera, showcasing refined tea-brewing techniques and a coordinated opera presentation. The tea masters combined their tea-making skills with the Cantonese Opera performance, allowing the elderly to enjoy the performance as well as the health-enhancing tea.

GEG also prepared thermos bottles for each elderly person to convey care and warmth. Through these activities, GEG hopes to connect the community with the arts and promote the richness of traditional Chinese culture while encouraging the elderly to widen their social circle and spread the spirit of respect and love for the elderly.
