Rui Cunha Foundation presents Association of Promoting Macau Comics and Animation Cultural Exchange comic exhibition

On 18 August, the Rui Cunha Foundation collaborated with the Association of Promoting Macau Comics and Animation Cultural Exchange to host the Hong Kong Machines Illustration Exhibition– a week-long event that offered local and international comic enthusiasts a rich visual feast.

August marks Comic Month and therefore the perfect time to host the Hong Kong Machines Illustration Exhibition at the Rui Cunha Foundation Gallery from 18 to 23 August. The exhibition features Hong Kong comic artist Felix Ip, renowned for his robot illustrations and whose works have been adapted into toys that are highly popular among fans. The exhibition showcases 30 of his selected illustrations, with a limited number of works available for purchase at the opening ceremony.

Additionally, the Promotion Association hosted the “Association of Promoting Macau Comics and Animation Members Exhibition 2025” on 12 August.

The exhibition featured works by renowned local comic artists, including Leung Wai Ka, whose diverse styles fully embody the creativity and vitality of Macau’s anime and manga culture.

The Association of Promoting Macau Comics and Animation Cultural Exchange is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the development of Macau’s local animation and comic culture industry, strengthening connections between the industry and international producers.

The association actively organizes local and international comic artist exhibitions, publishes works and promotes Macau comics internationally, providing a professional exchange platform for the local animation and comic industry to contribute to the progress of Macau’s cultural and creative industry, as well as its economic prosperity and social stability.
