MGM actively participated in the large-scale “Macao Week in Wuhan” roadshow organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), showcasing Macau as a premier travel destination where Eastern and Western cultures converge. During the event, MGM introduced a range of cultural, entertainment and tourism experiences to attract mainland residents to visit Macau and explore local culture through community immersion.

Held at Wuhan Customs House Square from 5 to 8 September, the roadshow featured an original MGM performance inspired by its resident show Macau 2049. This innovative production blended Lingnan intangible cultural heritage lion dance with a “Robot Dog Lion Dance”, incorporating contemporary dance elements to showcase the fusion of technology and traditional culture. It demonstrated how Macau 2049 injects fresh momentum into Macau’s cultural tourism development.

Another eye-catching highlight at the booth was a 2.3-meter-tall “Mechanical Matrix Dynamic Lion Capsule Lucky Draw Machine”. The futuristic golden lion design drew numerous visitors who paused to take photographs. On-site capsule toy games offered participants the chance to win one of 4,000 curated prizes, including Macau 2049 tickets, discount vouchers and cultural merchandise, promoting “Made in Macau” and creative brands.

Moreover, MGM has launched special offers on accommodation, dining and city exploration packages, showcasing Macau’s rich cultural, sporting and festive events scheduled for the latter half of the year and further encouraging mainland visitors to embark on in-depth tours to explore the city’s cultural heritage.

MGM’s active participation demonstrates Macau’s diverse appeal as an internationally renowned tourist city, while supporting the SAR Government’s drive for diversified tourism development.

By integrating traditional culture with innovative technology, MGM makes significant contributions to Macau’s long-term economic growth and the upgrading of its cultural tourism industry, attracting more mainland visitors to immerse themselves in the city’s cultural essence.
