5th Macau Qingdao International Beer Carnival held at Wynn Palace’s Gourmet Pavilion

  • Wynn is hosting the “5th Macau Qingdao International Beer Carnival” at “Gourmet Pavilion”.
  • The event features nine varieties of Tsingtao beer, including Extra Light and Original Brew.

Wynn is hosting the “5th Macau Qingdao International Beer Carnival” at Gourmet Pavilion, Wynn Palace from 6 to 16 November. The event showcases a diverse range of beer products, further deepening cultural, tourism and economic cooperation between Macau and Qingdao.

Gourmet Pavilion

Since 2021, with the support of both governments, Wynn has successfully hosted this beer cultural festival, establishing it as a vital platform for fostering urban interaction. This year’s event has been comprehensively upgraded under the guidance of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, with the support of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute of the Macao SAR (IPIM).

Themed “Ola Macau! Hajiu Qingdao!”, it showcases Macau’s appeal as an international tourism and leisure hub, injecting fresh momentum into the economies of both regions.

The opening ceremony took place on 6 November at the Wynn Palace Event Marquee, concurrently hosting the “Macao Debut of Tsingtao Extra Light”.

This year’s event marks the first relocation to Gourmet Pavilion, combining premier Asian culinary brands with fine brews.

Distinguished guests attending the opening ceremony included Yang Quanzhou, Deputy Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR; Zhang Hui, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee; Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO); Wong Yee Lam, Acting President of the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao SAR; Song Rendeng, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Qingdao Municipal People’s Government; and Zoe Zou, Chief Marketing Officer of Resort Marketing of Wynn Macau, Limited.

In her address, Senna Fernandes stated, “Both Qingdao and Macau are important node cities along the Maritime Silk Road and members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. This special bond has brought the two cities together, enabling them to continually strengthen cooperation in multiple areas, including ‘tourism + gastronomy, culture, sports, economy and trade’ for mutual benefit, success and development. Through this event, the two cities will further explore opportunities for collaboration and continue to discover new avenues for development by leveraging their synergy.”

This edition of the “Macau Qingdao International Beer Carnival” is being held at the Gourmet Pavilion from 6 to 7 November, 9 to 14 November and 16 November, operating daily from 11:00 to 23:00. The event features nine types of Tsingtao beer, including the Extra Light, Original Brew, Classic, Draught, Wheat, Stout, IPA, Strong and 0.0 varieties. A special new Hazy IPA craft beer is also being launched, offering a delightful surprise for beer enthusiasts.

Wynn noted that this year’s event marks the first relocation to Gourmet Pavilion, combining premier Asian culinary brands with fine brews. Live band performances and DJ create a vibrant atmosphere.

Wynn added that it aims for the event to synergize culinary, tourism, cultural and entertainment experiences, attracting greater participation from residents and visitors alike. This event injects sustained vitality into Macau, enriching the essence of its designation as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
