- Sands China donated MOP 240,000 to the Peng On Tung Charity Foundation, continuing its long-term support for the Peng On Tung Tele-Assistance Service.
- Around 200 seniors and youth volunteers participated in intergenerational activities promoting community values of kindness and inclusivity.
Actively supporting the spirit of giving, Sands China sponsored a series of fun-filled intergenerational activities themed around “Love & Inclusivity for All Ages”. The activities were organized by the Peng On Tung Tele-Assistance Service Centre and the Ngai Chon Center – both operating under the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau (UGAMM).

At the event, Sands China donated MOP 240,000 to the Peng On Tung Charity Foundation, reinforcing its long-term support for the Peng On Tung Tele-Assistance Service.
Approximately 200 seniors and young volunteers participated in interactive intergenerational activities that encouraged mutual care and understanding between generations, promoting the community values of kindness and inclusivity.

The donated funds will subsidize low-income seniors using the Peng On Tung Tele-Assistance Service and support the foundation’s extended care programs. These initiatives include the Peng On Tung Maintenance Programme, which provides home repair services, and the Elderly Haircut Initiative, offering free haircuts for the elderly.
The Peng On Tung Maintenance Programme trains volunteers passionate about serving the elderly, providing them with basic home repair training and opportunities to offer hands-on assistance. Meanwhile, the Elderly Haircut Initiative focuses on training young volunteers with professional haircutting skills. Over 250 trainees have participated so far, offering thoughtful services to seniors.

Eight “Intergenerational Skill Exchange” booths were set up and operated by seniors and young people at the event. These interactive stations covered themes such as floral arrangement, calligraphy, weaving, smartphone usage, anti-fraud awareness and healthy living, promoting the exchange of experiences and mutual learning between generations. A free haircut session was also held on-site, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere.
Helping the vulnerable for more than 20 years, Sands China’s support of community projects like Peng On Tung is part of the Sands Cares global corporate citizenship program.
