MGM wins record 10 awards in 2025 Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System (MORS) Gold Pin Competition

MGM continues to invest in developing tourism and hospitality talent by enhancing the professional skills of its team members. At the 2025 Macao Occupational Skills Recognition System (MORS) Gold Pin Competition Award Presentation Ceremony, MGM garnered a total of 10 awards, marking its best-ever result and demonstrating the company’s achievements in pursuing high-quality service and professional standards.

In 2025 Ceremony, MGM won Gold Pins across seven competition categories, including Bartender, Chinese Chef (Cantonese Cuisine), Front Desk Agent, Room Attendant, Security Officer for the Tourism and Gaming Industry, Waiter and Waitress (Chinese Restaurant Service), and Western Chef.

Ho Man Tek, a team member who won a Gold Pin in the Western Chef category, said, “My colleagues and I began preparing for this competition several months ago. The journey was both fulfilling and challenging. MGM has always placed great emphasis on talent development, offering us continuous opportunities to learn and grow professionally.”

Launched in 2001 by the Macao University of Tourism with support from the European Union, MORS is a professional skills certification system. Gold Pin winners are regarded as leading industry professionals, demonstrating outstanding skills through training and competition in line with international standards.

MGM achieves a record-breaking milestone by garnering 10 Gold Pins

In 2025, MGM fielded 60 team members in 12 competition categories covering Food and Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping and Security, with 22 advancing to the final round.

In addition, MGM continues to promote tourism education and training in the Greater Bay Area. Through programs such as “Hengqin-Macau Cultural Tourism New Quality, New Productivity Training”, the company supports talent exchange between Hengqin and Macau, strengthens capabilities in hospitality services, technology application and human resources management, and contributes to the sustainable development of the cultural tourism industry.
