Melco hosts “To The Table” event fostering development of Macau’s SMEs

To deepen understanding and explore collaboration opportunities with SMEs, Melco recently organized an exclusive networking event, “To the Table”, themed around Michelin-starred dining.

Sanna Leong, Manager of Commerce and Business Development Division of IPIM, was invited to attend.

Melco said it has always fully supported and cooperated with the Macao SAR Government’s policies to actively implement the business model of “leading smaller businesses with the large” approach to foster sustainable growth among local SMEs.

During the event, the Melco team provided in-depth briefings to participating SMEs on the company’s procurement standards and guidelines, specific requirements and expectations of its Food & Beverage department for suppliers, as well as the importance of sustainability within the supply chain.

This was followed by business matching sessions, offering SMEs valuable face-to-face opportunities to meet with representatives from Melco’s supply chain, culinary and F&B teams to discuss potential partnerships, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.

In collaborating with local SMEs, Melco said that deep community connections aren’t just a responsibility but also a source of pride and that it is committed to maximizing positive impact and creating shared value through meaningful and lasting initiatives.

The company’s community investment and engagement efforts include driving economic development, meeting local needs through collaborations with social impact groups and SMEs, empowering employees to advance social and environmental progress through volunteering, providing charitable donations and sponsorships, and conserving cultural heritage to enrich guest experiences.

SMEs and micro enterprises are the backbone of Macau economies, fueling economic activity and generating jobs throughout the value chain. Melco said it aims to actively expands procurement opportunities with local suppliers while helping them grow their businesses sustainably.
