Melco hosts national affairs forum to share spirit of 2025 “Two Sessions”

Melco Resorts & Entertainment invited delegates from the National People’s Congress (NPC) and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) to attend a national affairs forum. The event, part of Melco’s “Splendors of China” learning program, aimed to promote national pride and patriotism through internal education programs.

The event featured prominent speakers, including Ms Ho Sut Heng, Member of the NPC and President of the Macao Federation of Trade Unions; Mr Kevin Ho King Lun, Member of the NPC and President of the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau; Mr Ip Sio Kai, Member of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman of the Macau Association of Banks; Mr Lam Lon Wai, Member of the CPPCC National Committee and Member of the Legislative Assembly of Macau; and Mr Lawrence Ho, Member of the CPPCC National Committee and Chairman and CEO of Melco.

Mr Sun Yaohua, Director of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, attended as a guest of honor. Melco’s senior management welcomed attendees.

The forum, held at City of Dreams, was streamed online to enable Melco team members from offices in Macau, Hong Kong, Manila, Cyprus and Sri Lanka to participate. Key highlights from the session will be shared with colleagues in key employee areas for further learning.

In his speech, Lawrence Ho emphasized that this year’s government report specifically calls for Hong Kong and Macau to strengthen international exchange and cooperation. He noted that this proposal not only outlines the direction for the development of both cities but also highlights their crucial role in the country’s overall progress.

As one of Macau’s leading integrated resort operators, he pointed out that Melco will actively work to deepen international exchange and cooperation, further solidifying the city’s position as an integral world tourism center.
