GEG team triumphs at FHC China International Culinary Arts Competition

  • GEG sent six members of its culinary team to participate in the 26th “FHC China International Culinary Arts Competition”.
  • The team achieved outstanding results, winning five gold, two silver and one bronze medal.

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) last week sent six members of its culinary team to Shanghai to participate in the 26th “FHC China International Culinary Arts Competition”. With their exceptional culinary skills and innovative spirit, the GEG team achieved outstanding results, winning five gold, two silver and one bronze medal – setting a new benchmark for Macau’s culinary industry.

GEG has long been committed to nurturing local culinary talent, promoting the integrated development of Macau’s tourism and leisure industry and advancing appropriate economic diversification. The “FHC China International Culinary Arts Competition” is the only Class A international competition in China officially recognized by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS), attracting top chefs from around the world to compete on the same stage.

During this year’s competition, Chef de Cuisine Ng Yoon Seong excelled and won two gold medals for his “Lamb Western Main Course” and “Sumerians Truffle Western Main Course”.

Sous Chef Li Weihua and Cook 1 Tian Ye also achieved gold medals in the “U.S. Beef Chinese Regional Cuisine” category, while Demi Chef Zeng Dan demonstrated her mastery of pastry-making by earning a gold medal in the “Swiss Roll & Pound Cake – Live” category.

In addition, Sous Chef Jiang Bo won a silver medal for his “Leader Beef Western Main Course”, and Sous Chef Leong Chi Hin earned both a silver medal for his “Lamb Western Main Course” and a bronze medal for his “Salmon Trout Western Main Course”.

GEG congratulates the participating team and sincerely thanks the management team for their guidance and support. GEG will continue to support the development of local culinary talent through diverse initiatives, further enhancing Macau’s reputation as a “Creative City of Gastronomy” and strengthening its position as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure”.
