The event also included a graduation ceremony for the RG360 Macau Responsible Gaming Specialist Ambassador Course, with certificates presented to the graduates. These initiatives mark a new milestone in the collaboration between the two parties in advancing responsible gaming through industry-academia partnerships.
The Sands Responsible Gaming Academy is one of eight sub-academies under the Sands China Academy, aiming to further promote responsible gaming concepts, enhance the awareness and understanding of responsible gaming among team members and guests, and help Macau build a more mature and sustainable responsible gaming environment.

Through the MOU, Sands China and the University of Macau will deepen their collaboration in industry-academia cooperation by focusing on research exchange, talent development and local implementation. This partnership aligns with the policy direction of the Macao SAR Government and aims to enhance local responsible gaming education and public awareness.
The event also featured the graduation ceremony for “The RG360 Macau Responsible Gaming Specialist Ambassador Course”. Jointly developed by Sands China and the University of Macau’s Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming, the course provides training that integrates case studies, cultural communication and service response skills. It is designed to cultivate gaming professionals with both theoretical knowledge and practical abilities.
Participants who complete the foundational and advanced courses are awarded relevant certifications from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), further strengthening Macau’s professional training system for the gaming industry.
As an integrated resort operator rooted in Macao for over two decades, Sands China has been committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility. Since 2007, the company has developed a professional and holistic responsible gaming framework, designed to advance a healthy responsible gaming culture in the city.
