Title-sponsored by Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), the “GEG Community Caring Program” recently organized around 70 local students and volunteers to take part in the “Technological Support for Seniors Living Alone” activity, visiting elderly households across the city ahead of Christmas to deliver festive greetings and care.

Before embarking on their visits, participants underwent training focused on communication skills for engaging with elderly individuals and on how to operate the “Peng On Tung” safety device. Divided into small teams, they visited 45 elderly households, spending time interacting with the seniors, learning about their daily routines and practical needs, and sharing warm holiday blessings.
The event combined the use of technology with compassion, aiming to encourage young people to apply creative technological solutions to improve the lives of older adults, thereby fostering a more caring and harmonious community.

Organized by the “Peng On Tung Tele-Assistance Service”, the “GEG Community Caring Program” has been title-sponsored by GEG for 10 consecutive years. Since its inception, the program has continuously expanded its community support network, connecting over 1,350 enterprises, merchants and buildings to form a “Care Alliance”. It has mobilized more than 3,300 volunteers, reaching over 70,000 residents and identifying and assisting more than 500 individuals in need, including many “hidden elderlies”.

In addition, GEG regularly arranges for team members to visit elderly users of the “Peng On Tung” service, especially during festive seasons, delivering gift packs and daily supplies to share warmth and joy.
Looking ahead, GEG will continue to uphold its corporate social responsibility spirit of “Community at Heart, Empathy in Action”, further contributing to the development of a more inclusive and mutually supportive society in Macau.
