• Sands China achieved recognition in five indices of CUHK’s 2025 Business Sustainability Indices, including four in the Top 3 rankings.
• Sands China also received the Hong Kong Business Sustainability Index 10th Anniversary Decade of Excellence Award – Sustainability Progress.

Sands China has demonstrated outstanding performance in the 2025 Business Sustainability Indices (BSI) evaluation by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), being named an Exemplar in five categories – four of which placed within the Top 3 rankings.

This impressive achievement makes Sands China the only integrated resort and leisure enterprise in Macau to reach the Top 3 in the BSI.

Established in 2015, the Business Sustainability Indices aim to commend corporations that make positive contributions to society and the environment. The assessment evaluates companies across three key dimensions – Value, Process and Impact – measuring their strategic vision, management capability and contributions to society, the environment and their stakeholders.

Sands China was further honored with the Hong Kong Business Sustainability Index 10th Anniversary Decade of Excellence Award – Sustainability Progress for the first time. The award recognises the company’s strong commitment and contribution to sustainable development and the significant results achieved through its long-term environmental, social and governance initiatives.

One recent accomplishment came in July, when Sands China replaced all plastic water bottles in its operations with bottles made from reusable or sustainable materials (such as rPET), achieving the company’s plastic reduction target as scheduled and further putting its green operating philosophy into practice.

This year’s BSI covered 385 listed companies and international hotel groups across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shenzhen and Shanghai. Sands China ranked among the Top 3 in the following categories: Global (Asia-Pacific) Business Sustainability Index, Greater China Business Sustainability Index, Greater Bay Area Business Sustainability Index and Hong Kong Business Sustainability Index. Furthermore, Sands China was ranked in the top 10 companies in the Greater China Hotel Business Sustainability Index.

These recognitions fully affirm Sands China’s success in comprehensively integrating social responsibility practices into its business model, setting a benchmark for the industry.
