Thailand is one of Macau’s most important tourist source markets in Southeast Asia. MGM successfully organized an exchange visit to Macau for Thai business leaders last year and this time further extended the itinerary to Hengqin. The delegation comprised 31 senior executives from Thailand’s influential corporations, spanning finance, real estate, technology, retail and other sectors.

The delegation toured MGM MACAU and MGM COTAI, experienced the resident show Macau 2049 and the POLY MGM MUSEUM, and visited the company’s MICE facilities. The itinerary also included cultural landmarks such as A-Ma Temple and Kun Iam Temple.

On 6 February, MGM hosted a welcome dinner for the delegation at MGM COTAI, attended by government representatives, community leaders and MGM’s senior management. Addressing the dinner, Dr Iwan Dietschi, Senior Vice President of Hospitality of MGM, said, “MGM has been proactively expanding our international reach in line with Macau’s development strategy and our government’s initiative.

“MGM strives to connect the world by leveraging our exceptional hospitality and resources, while working closely with neighboring cities – including Hengqin – to showcase Macau’s growing potential as a regional platform for business, tourism and investment. I hope the Hengqin visit has brought everyone an enriching experience and sparked new ideas for future collaborations.”
