  • Marking its 20th anniversary, MCYVDA organized 146 activities in 2025 aimed at youth development.
  • A key focus in 2025 was the launch of the “20 Years of MCYVDA – Love Brings Together” series.

The Macao Community Youth Volunteers Development Association (MCYVDA) last year marked its 20th anniversary since establishment. In reviewing its work in 2025, the Association held a total of 146 activities throughout the year, with cumulative participation reaching 5,212.

MCYVDA’s membership targets Macau youth aged 14 to 45. As of 2025, the Association recorded 401 active members of whom approximately 60% are working professionals, while 40% are local university and secondary school students.

In terms of activities, the Association continued to run several signature programs, including the “Rainbow Life” Food Donation Day; regular visits and institutional exchange activities under the “Love in Action” social service practice initiative; and “Specialist Volunteer” training programs such as master-of-ceremonies training, protocol and etiquette training, first-aid training, football training and board-game instructor training.

The Association noted that a key focus in 2025 was the launch of the “20 Years of MCYVDA – Love Brings Together” series, themed around healthy youth development and physical-and-mental well-being. Through immersive experiences, the program guided young people to build positive channels for stress relief. In addition, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the Association organized study and exchange trips for members to mainland China. Through immersive learning, participants deepened their understanding of the history of the War of Resistance and promoted patriotism.

Looking ahead to 2026, MCYVDA said it will promote the professionalization, systematization and branding of volunteer services, strengthen investment in specialist volunteer training and further deepen exchanges and cooperation with youth groups in Macau, the Greater Bay Area and the Guangdong–Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. By doing so, it will help Macau youth better integrate into the country’s overall development.
