MICA organizes six online sharing sessions to facilitate Macau’s internet development

  • The Macau Internet Communication Association has organized six online sharing sessions.
  • It hopes to bring new ideas to facilitate Macau’s industrial transformation.

The Macau Internet Communication Association (MICA) has organized a series of six online sharing sessions called the “Macau Online Development Program” from March to August, focusing on topics such as upgrading the online communication of SMEs and the application of AI tools, with a view to injecting new ideas into Macau’s industrial transformation.

The first online seminar was held on 19 March, attracting more than 50 representatives from SMEs, content creators and digital practitioners to explore video creation skills and online communication strategies.

The following five seminars will be held once a month from April to August, exploring in-depth topics such as “SMEs’ Online Communication Upgrading”, “IP Shaping and Personal Brand Realization”, “Innovative Application of AI Tools in Content Production” and “Cross-border E-commerce”.

The Chairman of MICA, Ken Ao, said, “As an international platform where Chinese and Western cultures converge, Macau has the unique advantage of ‘tourism + MICE + cultural and creative industries’. We will use short video, live broadcasting, IP creation and other new online communication modes suitable for Macau to link up the unique culture of Macau and create a ‘digital city’.”

MICA pointed out that in addition to the series of online sharing sessions, it will also organize the Macau Internet Celebrities Party and participate in the Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE) & The Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) exhibition, aiming to gather the wisdom of all parties, share the latest industry trends and stimulate innovative thinking.
