The “Light of Macao Designers” Exclusive Brand Fashion Show, organized by the Macau Fashion Design Industry Association (MFDIA), was held on 21 March at Avenue des Champs-Élysées at The Parisian Macao. The event attracted over 100 guests and industry professionals.

This fashion show featured six member designer brands from the association: ella épeler, Nega C, SHEFEELING, XU’S, YUKWA and Z9. A total of 60 looks were showcased, covering a diverse range of styles in men’s and women’s wear, highlighting the creativity and achievements of Macau’s original designs.

The event brought together representatives from the cultural, business, sports and entertainment sectors to witness a concentrated display of local fashion power. Simultaneously, the organizers introduced a “Show + Exhibition + Sales” model, complemented by a three-day POP UP SHOP, allowing designers’ works to directly face consumers and encourage immediate purchases.
In addition, a month-long static exhibition is being held to extend the momentum of the fashion show, allowing residents and tourists to appreciate design details up close and promoting cross-border exchanges between fashion and other art forms.

The “LIGHT UP!” series also includes the “Macao Fashion Brands Pop-up Shop” and the “Macao Emerging Fashion Brands Exhibition” held concurrently until 26 April. Both are open to the public with free admission.
Akina Lei, Director-General of the Macau Fashion Design Industry Association, stated that the annual fashion show is more than just a fashion performance; it is an important platform for Macau to showcase its cultural diversity to the world. By attracting the attention of the industry, media and fashion buyers, the event promotes the moderate diversification of Macau’s economy.
