Co-organized by Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) and the Federation of Associations of Cultural Sectors of Macau, the “2026 Macao Young Musicians Concert Series” held its first performance on the evening of 26 April at the Galaxy Auditorium of the Galaxy International Convention Center.

The opening concert highlighted the concept of “Chinese and Western, traditions and modern – creations from Macau.” Local young musician Pun Kuan Pou took center stage for the first time as the featured artist, presenting his original crossover works.

The number of performers in this concert exceeds 60, making it the largest-scale event in the history of the series. The concert was arranged into four major sections. It began with the theme of “Patriotic” where Pun presented his representative work featuring the “lotus” as its symbol, vividly conveying his sincere feelings for patriotism. His rearranged version of “Jasmine” introduced a more dynamic rhythm and incorporated a distinctly Macau element, offering audiences a refreshing listening experience.

Another highlighted work was inspired by Pun’s field trips to Yunnan and Guangxi, pushing beyond conventional expectations and using sound as a language to interpret Macau’s inclusive character as a city.

As the co-organizer of the event, GEG has actively supported the development of arts and culture in Macau through concrete action. This is the third consecutive year it has supported the concert series and again provided Galaxy Auditorium through the “GEG Venue Partnership Pilot Program”, which the state-of-the-art venue equipped with advanced audio-visual technology and seating for over 600, offering a platform for local young musical talent to showcase their work.
