SJM Resorts, S.A. recently concluded its 10th “Jiangxi Jinggangshan Patriotic Education and Training Programme,” with nearly 90 participants joining the trip to Jinggangshan. Through immersive study tours and interactive exchanges, the program further strengthened patriotic solidarity, promoted the core values of Loving the Motherland and Loving Macau, and reaffirmed SJM’s unwavering commitment to nurturing a profound sense of national identity.
Since its launch in 2014, the program has been held annually for 10 consecutive years, becoming one of SJM’s flagship initiatives in promoting patriotic education. Celebrating this 10th anniversary milestone, SJM not only encouraged participation from its team members but also broadened the program’s reach by inviting youth representatives from Macau associations. To date, more than 1,300 participants have taken part in these study tours.
The activity was led by Angela Leong, Director of SJM, Chairman of the SJM Staff Welfare Consultative Committee, Vice-Chairman of the Jiangxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and an honorary citizen of Jinggangshan
Upon arriving in Jinggangshan, participants watched the large-scale live performance Jinggangshan, with the immersive theatrical experience enabling them to gain a profound appreciation of the glorious history of China’s first rural revolutionary base. At the Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery, participants paid silent respect and laid wreaths in memory of revolutionary martyrs.
They then proceeded to the Jinggangshan revolutionary museum for on-site learning, followed by participation in the situational teaching session Eternal Faith – A Dialogue Across Time and Inspirational Red Music Sessions, further elevating their patriotic sentiments. Fully drawing upon Jinggangshan’s profound red cultural heritage, the program also featured carefully designed outdoor experiential learning activities.
