- The forum welcomed over 10 experts and scholars from the automotive and sustainable development sectors.
As a key event of the “15th China (Macao) International Automobile Exposition,” the “5th China (Macao) Green Energy and Smart Transportation Forum” was held on 8 November 2025 at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo Hall B and C.

Organized by Nam Kwong International Conference & Exhibition Co Ltd and the Macao Sustainable Development Association, the forum focused on Macau’s green transportation development in alignment with China’s “dual-carbon goals”. It featured in-depth discussions on electric vehicle promotion, artificial intelligence applications and the transformation of the racing industry.
The forum welcomed over 10 experts and scholars from the automotive and sustainable development sectors. They exchanged insights on Macau’s transportation development, green mobility and industry prospects. Local students were also invited to participate, blending learning with discussion to enhance environmental awareness among the younger generation.

Multiple experts highlighted that Macau’s motorsports industry, as a distinctive urban resource, presents a significant opportunity to drive green transportation through its own green transformation. Additionally, several participants recommended that the government establish sustainable assessment standards and an ESG database, refine relevant policies, promote the establishment of green enterprises and support Macau’s economic diversification.

In his opening remarks, Terence Lee, Co-founder and President of the Sustainable Development Association, stated that the association has long been committed to advancing sustainable urban development and transportation innovation in Macau. He expressed hope that the forum would unite efforts across sectors to jointly explore a green and smart transportation path tailored to local characteristics.
The forum concluded by proposing a “Blueprint for a Livable City”. Centered on green transportation like electric vehicles, this blueprint integrates infrastructure improvements and public education to build an environmentally friendly, efficient and convenient urban transportation system, propelling Macau toward a new era of green and low-carbon development.
